Henry A. Forgione III, 72, of Southington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (January 26, 2013), after a courageous battle with multiple sclerosis. Henry, the son of the late Henry and Julia (Testa) Forgione, was born in New Britain on Aug. 25, 1949. Henry was a graduate of Cheshire Academy and the University of New Haven. Henry was a life-long resident of Southington and will be remembered as a kind and giving man who was always smiling. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife and best friend Barbara (DiPinto) Forgione, his son, Jeffrey D. Forgione of Southington; his daughter, Cheryl L. Patafio and husband Dr. Onofrio Patafio of Bronxville, NY; his daughter Jacqueline M. Forgione of Farmington; and his beloved grandchildren, whom he adored, Philip Patafio, Giovanna Patafio and Vito Catalano. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law Sheila Forgione of North Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother David Forgione. Mr. Forgione's Family would like to thank the hospice nurse Pat Sangillo and hospice aid Kathleen Aldi for the loving care that they provided and also Sheila Ronewicz, a very dear and loving friend of the family who also provided endless loving care and support.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Masonic Care Home Health Hospice, 74 Cheshire Rd. Wallingford, CT 06492.
