KAISER, Iris (Cherrier)

Iris (Cherrier) Kaiser, 76, of South Windsor, loving wife of 56 years to Kenneth K. Kaiser, Jr., passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, (November 18, 2012). Born in Saranac Lake, New York, the daughter of the late Arthur and Hazel (Lebelle) Cherrier, she grew up and lived in Saranac Lake and East Hartford before moving to South Windsor over 33 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1996, Iris was employed by the Loctite Corporation in Rocky Hill for sixteen years. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and she enjoyed reading, making latch hook rugs, crossword puzzles and taking trips to the casino. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband, Iris is survived by her beloved children, Kenneth Kaiser, III of South Windsor, Keith Kaiser and his wife Josephine of East Windsor, and Kimberly Chilcott and her husband Eric of Manchester; five grandchildren, Kevin, Nicholas and Kyle Kaiser and Heather Chaffee and Tiffany Armstrong; four great grandchildren, Kiara, Joseph, Coltain and Haydian; two sisters, Verla Brindley of Ohio and Carol Warfield of Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two brothers, Vincent and Leonard Cherrier.
Her family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of her family.
