J. Rino Ringuette, 86, of Middlewoods of Farmington, formerly of East Hartford, died on Friday (October 18, 2013) at the UConn Medical Center. He was born in St. Basile, New Brunswick, Canada, and moved to Madawaska, ME at an early age. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Rino was employed by Hamilton Standard for 2 years and then worked for Kaman Corporation for 28 years retiring in 1989. He later retired from Traveler's in 1995. Rino was a parishioner of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church in Unionville and formerly a parishioner of St. Anne's Church in Hartford, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Trustee, a member of the Parish Council, Finance Committee, and a member of the Holy Name Society and St. Vincent de Paul. He was also a member of the former Franco American War Veteran's Post.16 of Hartford. Rino is survived by his beloved wife, Simone (Berube) whom he married in 1948; a sister, Jeanne Ringuette of Edmundston, New Brunswick; and two brothers, Gerard Ringuette of Saskatoon, Canada and Normand Ringuette and his wife Gisele of St. Basile, Quebec, Canada; along with several nieces and nephews, and a special Godchild, Monique Kucia of Farmington. He was predeceased by a sister, Marie May Nadeau of Caribou, ME; and a brother, Guy of Matane, Quebec, Canada.
Calling hours for Rino will be held on Wednesday morning, October 23, 2013 from 8:30-9:45 a.m. at the Fisette-Batzner Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave, Newington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's of the Sea, Unionville at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum at Mt.
