FORTUNATO, Jean (Wrinn)
Jean (Wrinn) Fortunato, 83, of Bristol, widow of Frank Fortunato, died on Saturday (February 2, 2013) at Bristol Hospital. Jean was born in Southington on January 9, 1930 and was a daughter of the late Bernard and Anne (Finn) Wrinn. She was raised in Southington where she graduated from Southington High School and has been a Bristol resident for most her life. She worked for Allied Control, Nuchies Restaurant, and as a cafeteria worker for the Bristol Board of Education. She was a member of St. Anthony Church, Bristol, and was a fan of UCONN women's basketball. Jean was proud of her Irish heritage and she was happy to have fulfilled her lifelong dream of visiting Ireland. She treasured her time with her adored family and she enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events. Most of all she will be remembered as a kind, caring and loving mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy in life. Jean is survived by her loving children and spouses: Heidi and Donald Adams of Southington, Lance and Jane Chase, and Nicole and Keith Cyr of Bristol; her grandchildren, Nathan Adams and his wife, Stephanie, Justin Adams and his wife, Elizabeth, Jillian, Andrew, and Spencer Chase, and Maura and Connor Cyr. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William Wrinn, and sisters, Annamae Tewksbury, Catherine Beeman, and Gladys Reich.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (February 6, 2013) at 9 AM from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Anthony Church for a Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday between 5 and 8 PM.
