YUSCHAK, John F.
John F. Yuschak, 74 of Forestville, passed away on Wednesday, (January 30, 2013) at the Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL. He was the husband of Carol (Krasenics) Yuschak. John was born on March 26, 1938 in Old Forge, PA a son of the late Adam and Frances (Baranowski) Yuschak and was a Bristol resident for most of his life. He was a Peacetime veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force from Feb. 29, 1956 until his honorable discharge on Feb. 28, 1960. He was an Airman, 1st Class Teletype Operator. John had been a supernumerary with the Plainville Police Dept. and was a member of their pistol team. He was a bill collector with Yankeegas and then retired with Northeast Utilities. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed coaching and umpiring with the Forestville Little League; had played on the Over 35 Baseball League in Plainville and loved hunting and fishing. John and his wife were also members of St. Matthew Church in Forestville. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Jody Capirchio and her husband James of Bristol; two sons, John A. Yuschak and Jay Yuschak and his wife Diane all of Bristol; and three grandchildren, Jillian, Kaiya and Nathan Yuschak and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Stephen Yuschak.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at 9 a.m. from The O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol and will proceed to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Calling hours will be held between 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in John's memory to the A. Bartlett Giamatti Little League Leadership Training Center, 335 Mix St., Bristol, CT, 06010.
