John Kupfer

John "Jack" Kupfer, 86, of Waterbury, passed away Wednesday (June 25, 2014) at St. Mary Hospital in Waterbury. Born in New Britain, he was a longtime New Britain resident, lived in Plainville for 20 years, moving to Waterbury one year ago. A graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1945, Jack was a World War II US Army Veteran. He was an electronic technician at Andersen Laboratories in Bloomfield for 39 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in New Britain and the Midways Group at the church. Jack was predeceased by his fiancée, Margaret "Marge" Bradlau. Amongst his survivors is Marge's daughter, Susan DesLauriers and her husband Richard of Bristol; several cousins including Alan Peterson, Eleanor Calderone, Shirley Rowland and Geraldine Milkie. He also leaves his longtime caregiver and close friend, Victoria DiChiara and her husband Joseph of Waterbury; there children, Robyn Cardona, Patricia Magro, Pam Harrison, Paul DiChiara and Joey DiChiara; as well as Vicky and Joe's grandchildren. Funeral services are Saturday 11 AM at First Lutheran Church, 77 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051. Burial with military honors will follow in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain.
