BRIMIGION, Joseph C.

Joseph C. Brimigion, 85, of Bristol, widower of Florence (Barnes) Brimigion, died on Sunday (November 11, 2012) at Bristol Hospital. Joseph was born in Stonington, ME on August 27, 1927 and was one of two sons of the late Lloyd K. and Jennie (Jones) Brimigion. Raised in Stonington, ME, he was a longtime Bristol resident where he worked at Wallace Barnes/Theis Precision Steel before retiring. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and was an active member of the United Auto Workers union. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and watching the Red Sox and UCONN Huskies. Joseph is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Holly and Richard Bohn of Boones Mill, VA, and Bonnie and Dan Lachance of Bristol; a sister in law, Ruth Barnes of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Lloyd F. Brimigion. The family thanks the staff of The Pines at Bristol for their loving care.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday November 14, 2012 at 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, followed by a service at 10 a.m. at Barnes Memorial Chapel at West Cemetery, 49 Pound St., Bristol, with Rev. J. Richard Fowler officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
