Joseph E. Gregorzek, 84, of Bristol, passed away on Saturday, (December 29, 2012). Born in New Britain, son of the late Antoni and Jadwiga (Raczek) Gregorzek, he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He leaves his sister Sally Smith of Newington, many nieces and nephews and his companion Josephine James of New Britain. He was predeceased by his sisters Helen Karatka, Mary Story, Florence Kramer and his brother Stanley Gregorzek.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Jerome Church, New Britain with military honors directly afterward. He will be laid to rest privately in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Burritt Hill.
