ARBERCHESKI, Joseph S.

Joseph S. "Slim" Arbercheski, 87, of South Windsor, formerly of East Hartford, beloved husband of the late Jacqueline (Wilson) Arbercheski, died Monday, (February 18, 2013) at Woodlake of Tolland. Born in New Britain on April 30, 1925 son of the late Joseph and Margaret (O'Leary) Arbacheski, he had lived most of his life in East Hartford before moving to South Windsor three years ago. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War and was a general foreman at Whitney Chain Company before retiring in 1985. Joe was a parishioner of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford. He leaves a son and daughter, Stephen P. Arbercheski and his partner Sharie Cyr of South Windsor and Joyce Davis and her husband William of Lighthouse Point, FL; five grandchildren, Lisa Arbercheski and her fiancé Richard Grove, Jennifer Mundo and her husband, Michael, Meaghann Jordon and her husband James, Heather Arbercheski and her partner Bill Fedeli and Joseph M. Arbercheski; five great-grandchildren, Angelina, Anthony, Autumn, Clayton and Giavanna; several nieces and nephews and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, has care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mary's Place, 6 Poquonock Avenue, Windsor, CT 06095.
