Joseph T. Bieszczad, 93 of Rocky Hill, formerly a longtime resident of Wethersfield, husband of the late Alice (Brodeur) Bieszczad, died Tuesday (October 30, 2012) at his home. He was born May 22, 1919 in Hartford and was the son of the late Thomas and Kunegunda (Lech) Bieszczad. Joe was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the Teamsters Local #671 and drove tractor trailers for many years. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Joe is survived by his brother, Thomas Bieszczad of Wethersfield; his brother-in-law, Joseph Kulmacz and nephew, Mark Kulmacz, both of Wethersfield; his wife's children, Cornelius "Neil" O'Connor and wife Antoinette of Old Lyme and Mary Anne Salemi of Haddam and his very dear and close friend, Stella St. Cyr of Berlin.
Calling hours will be Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield. Following the calling hours, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 63 Popieluszko Court, Hartford.
