KIMBALL, Kenneth L.

Kenneth L. Kimball, 82, of New Britain passed away on Thursday, (April 18, 2013) at The Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. He was the beloved husband of Ann (Duke) Kimball for 60 years. Born in New Britain, son of the late Gordon and Helen (Kotrady) Kimball, he was a lifelong resident of New Britain. Ken served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He joined the New Britain Fire Department in 1955; he was promoted to Lieutenant in 1973 and Captain in 1985 retiring in 1986. He loved taking trips with Ann on his motorcycle. He was a devoted family man and during his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Ken is survived by his wife Ann; his son Kenneth P. Kimball and his wife Kathleen of Malta, NY; his three daughters Deborah Fortier and her husband David of Rockville, Cynthia Bazzano and her husband Michael of Wethersfield and Susan Denning and her husband Herbert of Bradenton, FL.; five grandsons Christopher and Thomas Kimball, Michael Bazzano, Herbie and Cody Denning; his sister Joyce Posa of Litchfield, CT; his sister-in-law Colette Kimball of Woodbury, CT and his aunt Mae Kotrady of New Britain and several loving nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his brother Dale Kimball.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain. A celebration of his life will begin at 1 p.m. at Burritt Hill. He will be laid to rest with military honors in the State Veterans Cemetery, Middletown, CT.
