Melissa Rich Mulcahy

MULCAHY, Melissa Rich Melissa Rich Mulcahy of Springfield, MA died unexpectedly at home on September 13, 2008. She was a charming, beautiful and radiant wide eyed dream who was loved by so so many. She revered nature and cherished music, loved reading, cooking, champagne, running in the desert, Los Angeles, bocce, Dorthea Tanning, Forest Park, parrot tulips, making jam, Toppy, sunday mornings, Frida Kahlo, Ronnie & Tina, summertime, Red Sox baseball, Tom Waits, Orson Welles, Shelley Winters, Sally's pizza, U2 and having the windows wide open. She was a gifted floral designer, a devoted wife and mother. She loved her friends and smiled a lot. Melissa was happy. Ciao my shining star. Born in Cambridge on February 16, 1967, she graduated Loomis Chaffe in 1985 and Hampshire College in 1990. In addition to her broken hearted husband Mark and their beloved daughters Clementine and Florine, Melissa is survived by her mother Kay Allison of Windsor, her father Barry Rich and her brother Jeremy Rich. There will be a memorial service on October 11 at 3 p.m. at the Loomis Chaffee School Chapel in Windsor CT.
