PETROZZA, Michael Anthony

Michael Anthony Petrozza, 85, beloved husband of 31 years of Lorraine Petrozza (Paul) of Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Stafford Springs, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2013, in Hospice at Del Ray Medical Center in FL. He will be dearly missed by his surviving son James and his wife Kathryn Petrozza of Hebron; stepsons James Paul and his wife Julie of Coventry, David Paul and his wife Beverly of Cooper City, FL, stepdaughter Debra Paul of Enfield; grandchildren Emily, Lauren, Marissa, Jake and Brett (CT); step-grandchildren David and Daniel Paul (FL) and Sydney Bevivino (CT); two sisters Julie Reid (FL), Millie Currie (CT) and brother Mario (CT). Michael was predeceased by two sons Michael and Patrick, daughter Sandra, wife Barbara Petrozza (Malloy), and brother Rocky. Michael proudly served his country as a member of the US Army serving in WW2 and was a lifetime member of the VFW in Vernon. He retired from Hamilton Standard after 30 years of employment as a Mechanical Engineer. Michael was very artistic and his passion was wood carving - particularly birds that he observed at the bird feeders at his home on Staffordville Lake. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and dancing and was an avid New York Giants fan. He will be dearly missed by all.
Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service to be held on Saturday October 5 at 12 at the Crystal Lake Community United Methodist Church, 278 Sandy Beach Rd., Ellington.
