Milt Covaleski, 75, of Bristol, husband of 50 years to Fran (Hickey) Covaleski, passed away on Tuesday, (October 22, 2013) at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Milt was born in New Britain on July 27, 1938 and was a son of the late Francis and Vera (Esberg) Covaleski. He was a longtime Bristol resident and had worked for Stephen's Auto Mall. Milt was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a member of St. Gregory Church, Bristol, member of the Knights of Columbus, Palos Council # 35 Bristol, and the St. Joseph's Polish Club, Forestville. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and UConn Women's Basketball fan. He enjoyed golfing and bowling with his friends. Besides his wife, Milt is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; James and Teresa Covaleski of Meriden; a daughter and son-in-law; Cathleen and Drew Devine of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren; Jeffrey and Melissa Covaleski, Mitchell, Cooper and Kyle Devine and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013, 9 a.m. from the Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol to St. Gregory Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Military honors will follow and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
