BURNS, N. Scott
N. Scott Burns, 51, of East Hartford, passed away quietly September 24, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 6, 1959 at Hartford Hospital, son of the late Robert W. Burns and Lois Hall Burns. He was a lifelong resident of East Hartford; an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his daughters. Aside from fishing, waterfowl hunting was his passion. He is survived by his two children, Samantha and Kate (East Hampton); His stepmom, Collette Quigg Burns (East Hartford); His Sister Bonnie L. Cameron (Vernon); Brothers David Burns (MO), Dan Quigg and wife Lori (East Hampton), and Brad Quigg (Vernon). His is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Scott was cared for at Memorial Sloan Hospital, NY,
in New York City and Saint Francis Hospital and Cancer Center over the past two years. Thank you to all those who cared for him and gave generously including medical staff, family, and friends; especially his primary nurse Joy Peccolo, Dr. Adam Boruchov, Dr. Angel Perales, Rob Bagley (Glastonbury), Karen Cloutier (East Hartford), Gerald Cloutier (Eastford), Kevin Grady (Hebron), Randy Rutka (Manchester), and many others who were with him during this difficult time. Relatives and friends may join the family for a memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday (October 1, 2010) at South Congregational Church 1301 Forbes Street East Hartford, CT 06118 . A reception will follow at the Rusty Brewer Memorial Clubhouse at 1 Rivermead Blvd, East Hartford, CT. A private burial will be held at Rose Hill in Rocky Hill.
