Frank Cerra, 91, of Windsor, beloved husband of Lorraine (Hamelin) Cerra, passed on January 19, 2014. He was born to the late Pasquale and Mary Cerra on Sept. 11, 1922 in Hartford. He was a cement mason most of his life, and worked at the Model Market in Bloomfield making and delivering fruit baskets for 40 years. He worked at Taylor and Fenn for 10 years before finally retiring at 90. He was an active TenPin and DuckPin bowler, and an avid golfer. He was a life member of the ELKS BPOE

veteran serving from March 1942 through Nov 27, 1945, leaving with an honorable discharge. In addition to his wife of 40 years, Lorraine he is survived by, Eva Cerra, wife of 23 years; his two daughters, Diane Bligh of East Windsor and Donna Cerra of Wethersfield, his step son Ray "Bud" Pittman and daughter-in-law Jackie Pittman from Willimantic; his grandchildren Lisa and Jason Kowalski and Adam Pittman of Boston, MA; also many nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Maurice Belden. He is predeceased by Rosie Shelto, Jennie Shelto, Josephine Rogers, Ana Rogers, Nelson Cerra, Tony Cerra and Sal Cerra. A viewing will be held January 26, 2014 at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor, from 2 pm to 4 pm, followed immediately by a service. The Elks will be performing a Memorial Service at 3:30 pm during the viewing hours. There will be a gathering at the Windsor Elks Club on Deerfield Rd in Windsor following the service.
