Philip F. Famiglietti(1928 - 2014)

Philip F. Famiglietti, 85, a longtime resident of Windsor Locks, CT passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 28, 2014. Philip was born October 4, 1928, in Waterbury, CT the son of the late Felix and Antoinette (Stango) Famiglietti. Philip proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from Hamilton Standard in 1987 after 35 years as a mechanical engineer. Philip served on the Park Commission for thirty years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Riverside Council # 26 of Windsor Locks, American Legion Gensi-Viola Post No. 36 and the Windsor Locks Lions Club. He was past chairman and treasurer of Boy Scout Troup 263. He married Catherine Romaniello, October 4, 1952 and they started a family. Philip is survived by his children, Joan Bologna and her husband, John, Donna Behrman and her husband, Dusty, Linda Disney and her husband Richard, Charles Famiglietti and his wife, Kelly and Philip C. Famiglietti and his wife, Susan. He is survived by his loving sister Marion Iannicelli and her husband Adolph. Philip leaves behind his many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St. A funeral procession will gather on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 9 am at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 South Elm St., Windsor Locks. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Philip may be made to the Windsor Locks Lions Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 105, Windsor Locks, CT 06096.
