Raymond W. Malinosky



Raymond W. Malinosky, 69, of Newington died on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Malone) Malinosky for 51 years. Born in Stafford Springs, he grew up there moving to Newington about 50 years ago. Ray graduated from Newington High School, attended the Hartt School of Music and received a B.S. Degree from Eastern Conn. State University. He was employed as a manufacturing engineer by Pratt & Whitney and Sikorsky for many years. Ray played guitar and sang at weddings and various cafes in the Hartford area for many years and was a devoted Elvis fan. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry and most of all attending his children's sporting events. Besides his wife, Carol, he leaves two sons: Raymond W. Malinosky of Waterbury, Todd D. Malinosky and Tammy Santomeno, his daughter Carol Michaud and her husband Christopher all of Newington, his four beloved grandchildren: Victoria, Hannah, Alexandra and Kathryn and two sisters: Anna Mae Davis of Vernon and Diane Parker of Rocky Hill. Family and friends are invited to call at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., his funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington.
