Robert J. Labrecque, 64, of Bristol, passed away January 16, 2013 at Bristol Hospital. Born July 4, 1948 in St. Judger, Canada, he was a son of Henriette (Dallaire) and the late Philippe Labrecque. He spent most of his life here in Bristol. Robert was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. After his service, he worked at Pratt and Whitney as a jet engine tester for 34 years and retired in 2012. He was an active parishioner of St. Joseph's Church and also an active member of the Knights of Columbus. Besides his mother, Robert is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law Staci (Labrecque) Dionne and her husband Peter of Bristol, CT and Lindsay Labrecque, also of Bristol; his caregiver and former wife Donna (Colello) Labrecque of Bristol, CT; three brothers Michael Labrecque of Harwinton, CT, Gabriel Labrecque of New Hartford, CT and Roger Labrecque of Bristol, CT; two grandchildren Morgan Bussiere and Kyleigh Labrecque and three nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held Monday, Jan. 21 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Bristol. Inurnment will follow at the Holy Family Chapel Mausoleum in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol.
