Roland J. Courtemanche, 90, of Farmington, beloved husband of Gladys (Johnson) Courtemanche, died Tuesday, (April 30, 3013) at John Dempsey Hospital, Farmington. Born in Gardner, MA, son of the late Theodore and Edna (Ares) Courtemanche, he was a resident of Farmington for many years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a foreman at Colts Manufacturing and was a World War II Marine veteran. Roland was predeceased by a son Robert "Bobby" Courtemanche. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and John Powers of Enfield and Karen and Doug Gomez of Madison; a daughter-in-law, Pam Courtemanche of Altoona, FL; a brother Rene Courtemanche of East Windsor and a sister Rita Miller of Hollywood, FL; four grandchildren, Tammy Keen, Stephanie Meissner, John Paul Powers and Robert Joseph Courtemanche and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Service will be Friday, May 3, 11 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Calling hour will be prior to the Service beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
