HENRY, Roosevelt Cash

With great sadness, the family of Roosevelt (Ro) Cash Henry, announces his passing on April 18, 2013. He was born on April 1, 1931 in Truman, AR and has lived in Bloomfield for many years. Following his retirement from Emhart Corp. he was employed as a driver by Ambassador Wheelchair. He was also a respected autobody mechanic. Ro served in the US Army in Korea and received several medals including the Bronze Star. He was predeceased by his wife Doris Henry; and son, Rory Henry; and son-in-law, Lamar Norman. He leaves to mourn his daughters, Sharon Steinle and her husband Rev. Donald Steinle, Nancine Crump and Myra Norman; daughter-in-law, Dr. Connie Henry; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and his former wife, Shirley Henry. He also leaves three sisters, and a host of relatives and friends. Ro was a member of the Tuscan Lodge #17 and Makalia Court 172, the American Legion, the VFW, the Carpe Diem Fraternity and Bethel AME Church.
A celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, April 24, at Bethel AME Church beginning at 11:30 a.m. A burial will take place with full military honors.
