Stephen B. Gaspar(1928 - 2014)

Stephen B. Gaspar, 85, of Ellington, widower of Shirley (Vertefeuille), passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at home. He was born November 13, 1928 in the Bronx of New York the son of the late Stephen and Bertha (Reberics) Gaspar. He will be sorely missed and shall remain in our hearts forever. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW of Ellington, Lake Monitor of Snipsic Lake, he was a Master Gardner and worked for various car dealers in the surrounding area. He is survived by a son Stephen and his wife Lynn Gaspar of Ashford, his daughters Christine Haskell and her husband David of Tewksbury, MA and Patrice Gaspar of MA. He is also survived by grandsons, Stephen and his wife Marge Gaspar of Oxford, PA and their three children Wade, Carly, and Victoria, William and his wife Sylvia Gaspar of Bethel and their three sons Anthony, Marcus, Stephen, and Matthew Gaspar of Ashford, his sister Emilia Behling of South Windsor as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Daniel who passed away at birth. Relatives and friends are welcomed on Sunday March 30, 2014 at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville from 5-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday March 31, 2014 at 11am at St. Bernard's Church, Rockville.
