Sally Porteus CAMPBELL

CAMPBELL, Sally Porteus Sally Porteus Campbell of West Hartford and Madison, widow of Malcolm G. Campbell, died Tuesday (October 12, 2010) at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, CT. Born in Hartford on September 13, 1916, she was the daughter of James and Mary (Hewins) Porteus. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church of West Hartford, the Order of the Eastern Star, Newington # 115, the West Hartford Women's Club and The Dames of West Hartford. She spent her summers in Madison and since 1997 lived with her son there. She became a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Advent in Clinton. She is survived by her three sons, Malcolm G. Campbell, Jr. of Madison; Robert P. Campbell and his wife Deborah of Marlborough and James H. Campbell and his wife Susan of Collinsville, and four grandchildren; Christopher and his wife Laura, Jonathan, William and Sandra Applebaugh and her husband Jeff, as well as two great grandchildren, Melissa and Anthony Applebaugh. Her brother, James H. Porteus of Colorado Springs, CO predeceased her. The funeral service will be Friday (October 15) at 11 a.m. at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Advent, 81 East Main Street, Clinton, CT with the Reverend Bruce M. Shipman officiating. The burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sally's memory may be made to The Episcopal Church of the Holy Advent, 81 East Main Street, Clinton, CT 06413. Funeral arrangements by the James T.
