Hieronim Zmarlicki, 83, of South Windsor, died peacefully on Saturday (May 11, 2013) surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Wilczynska) Zmarlicki. Born in Poland, Ron resided in New Britain and in Farmington for many years, before moving to South Windsor. He retired from Raymond/Kaman Aerospace. He was an active member of Holy Cross Church and its Parish Council in New Britain. He founded and was the president of Arka, as well as editor of Glos Parafii. Hieronim wrote numerous Catholic books and has several patents. His survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Slawomir and Anna Zmarlicki, and children Brian Gregory, Dominic, and Nathalan of Southington; his daughter and son-in-law Olivia and Timothy Germano and children Steven, Maria, Krystyna, Timothy and Daniel of Farmington; stepchildren and their families, Roman Gorski, Markus Gorski, Diane Gorski, Lidia Lisowski, and their children Anna, Matthew, Phillip, Nick, Jonathan, Jeffrey, Alex and Vincent. He also leaves a brother Michal Zmarlicki; three sisters Joanna Boryczewski, Zyta Yuhas, and Amelia Chojnowski; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Anna M. Zmarlicki.
His funeral service will begin on Wednesday, at 9 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
