Eunice was a dear friend and a comrade-in-arms, from our first meeting almost thirty years ago. As a strong supporter of the Presidents' College at the University of Hartford, she served on the task force that set it on its current prosperous trajectory, and helped me with sound advice and by spreading the word about the program. As fellow-members of the Twilight Club, we met often and talked about current events and about reading. She combined optimism and realism, idealism and practicality, serving as an example for us all and a constant source of sound advice. Jane and I will miss her and her wisdom and warmth. We feel blessed to have known her and to have had her as our friend.

I met Eunie when I was 15 as a sophomore at Westover, and we remained friends over the years, catching up at reunions every 5 years as well as occasionally meeting one to one in NYC or CT. Eunie stood out from the crowd - smart & wise, warm, funny, interesting, interested, loyal, with a fierce integrity. I had hoped to see her in April but she couldn't make it and was shocked and saddened by her unexpected death. Wishing your family strength dealing with your painful loss.
