My dear friends, Annette and Joe (and family): I just learned of Neil's passing. I am grateful for the many memories I have going back to the early '60's when he was a young child; then listening to him on the radio doing what he was so great at and loved doing. Praying that God's loving presence will surround you with peace and comfort during this difficult time. Love, Donna

Just heard this tragic news of Neil's passing. I graduated from Penney High in 1970 but knew Neil. While a student at MCC, I called Neil to ask him if he could help me with an assignment. He invited me in to WTIC and assisted me with a recording of a radio broadcast. After that, we became friends. He actually DJ'd my graduation party and I have an 8 track recording of that event with Neil as my DJ. I will never forget his kindness, patience and friendship. The news of his passing has cast a cloud over me and my heart is heavy for the loss of such a GREAT guy. To his family: My deepest sympathy, your brother and uncle was one of the good guys and if the world had more of the Neil Patrizzi's, it would surely be a better place. RIP Neil.

I had the pleasure of working with Neil at WFEA, Manchester, 1976. He did middays, and I did afternoon drive. He was the ultimate professional, and really cared for people. I will always remember his smile and his great laugh. Several years later, when I was a record promoter, we re-connected in Hartford when I came to visit. WTIC. Neil always gave 100%, not only at his work, but more importantly with his friends. RIP Neil, and thanks for for just being real!

My first full time radio job was doing news on Neil's morning show on WFEA in Manchester NH. He was a mentor and friend. He picked me up at the bus station in his Blue Firebird. Lucky for me I was a Yankee fan from Da Bronx. Thank you Neil for your friendship. And a lot of 13FEA softball games.

My big break in radio happened when I was hired at 13FEA in Manchester NH. Neil welcomed me as the "New Kid" and took me under his wing. Neil showed me the professional and right way to get things done and was instrumental in helping me hone my craft. Many lessons he taught me I still to this day. Neil was funny, Kind and a True Pro. I'm grateful to have know him.

My big break in radio happened in 1980 when I was hired at 13FEA in Manchester NH. Neil welcomed me as the new kid and took me under his wing. Neil showed me the right way to do things and was instrumental in helping me hone my craft. Many of the lessons he taught me then I still still use today. Funny, Kind and a True Pro! I'm grateful to have known him.

Neil Jackson, one of the "best" from WTIC -FM. Wether you were on or off air, Neil was the guy with the kind word and smile. I worked in Sales and asked Neil to work with my clients on many promotions. We had a blast in those days!
He will be truly missed by so many who loved him. My heartfelt sympathy to Neil's family.

To the Patrizzi family..I am so sorry for your loss! Neil was a terrific person. I was the Program Director of 13FEA Radio in Manchester NH in the late 70's and early 80's and Neil was my morning personality... he was a great employee. He wanted to start a station softball team, I thought a few games wouldn't hurt.....Neil scheduled 83.....we played every night in the Summer of 79....That was Neil...he loved sports...especially his love for the NY Yankees and his dislike for the Red Sox....which led to some ...interesting discussions in Southern New Hampshire... also his love for The Dave Clark Five...I had to hide the tapes... he never understood that it was 1980 and they were not so popular anymore....But here's to Neil...hope you're " GLAD ALL OVER".... Most of us only got "BITS AND PIECES" of him "BECAUSE" Neil was the Best! RIP my friend!

A number of years ago my granddaughter wanted to get a McDonalds meal. When we walked in and sat down, a gentle man with a deep voice said "Cathy?". I looked up to see Neil looking down on us. I introduced him to our grandaughter and explained how we knew each other in High School. Our grandaughters commit was "How did HE get away?". Neil laughed and told her the better man won this woman, and how lucky she was to have such a lovely granddmother. He included everyone in the conversation as if they were family. What a Gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. RIP my friend. You leave behind a large amount of friends that thought the world of you. Richard and Cathy Bober

My deepest Sympathies to the Patrizzi family.
I was introduced to Neil at a WTIC function at the train station in Hartford in 1987-88. I remember we hit it off right away and hung out afterwards and had a great time. Visiting you at the radio station, attending the Listener appreciation functions at the beach, and the many, many times we spent at various locations in Rocky Hill laughing hysterically. I always had fun with you. Several years had gone by without my seeing you. I was working at ESPN and someone that looked like you walked by me one day. Once we talked and you realized it was me, we hugged and then you had to run to be on air in a few minutes. I was excited that I had reunited with my good friend Neil and, happy that I would once again see you on a regular basis. You were a celebrity In my eyes and, you had one of the best radio voices in Connecticut. My heart is heavy and I will miss you very much. Rest in peace my friend.

Neil was a blast to work with at WTIC-FM, and it sure helped having another Yankee Fan in the Gold building! His character and positive energy was inspiring and he always treated me and my clients with the utmost professionalism. I was an out of towner and he really made me feel welcome there. Thanks for the memories Neil. My sincere condolences to the Patrizzi Family on your loss. Pete Forester WTIC-FM 1988-1991.

One of the first people I met when I started at TIC. A name and voice I had known for years who now I had the privilege to work alongside. Your offer of "anything I can do to help, just let me know" meant so much as a kid new to radio and has always stuck with me. I looked forward to our talks every weekend as our paths crossed in between shifts and teaching with you at Connecticut School of Broadcasting was a pleasure... something I'll always remember. A co-worker who quickly became a friend, thank you Neil for all that you taught me.

Working at a competing station in the 80s I was a fan before I was a colleague. Neil was the first person I saw the first time I visited the WZMX studios. He was helping someone in the lobby. He was always friendly, upbeat, funny, and respectful to me while we did our daily work in the hallways and studios at CBS Radio. Others worked more closely with Neil then I did on a daily basis, yet one night while leaving a Moody Blues concert at the Oakdale in a huge crowd I heard a recognizable voice call out in the distance. I heard "Hey Dean!" It was Neil. He called me over and introduced me to his lady friend and we had a nice conversation. That was a really nice gesture that I appreciate to this day. That's the type of friendly, good guy Neil was. Rest in peace my friend. I will never forget his smile and his great voice. I used to get a kick out of hearing him on ESPN radio while I was driving home in the car, happy for him that he was doing that.

One Sunday afternoon in the spring of 1968, two brothers whom I'd recently met came by my house to include me in a favorite teenage past time--"riding around." Sporting yellow golf jackets, they came inside and chatted amiably with my parents. I don't remember too much about that ride, but I do remember Alyce and others being in the car and coming home later to find my mother who could often be critical, absolutely over the moon about Joe and Neil. "Oh Bev, they're both so clean, and so pleasant and polite, and they smell so good!" There were many occasions after that when I found myself in the company of one or both of them, and it was always a great time. Although I have been out of touch for many decades, I was so very sad to hear of Neil's passing. When I think of him, the main thing that comes to mind is absolute hilarity. His wit was quick and clever, and his delivery always spot on. I remember one time he was going to give me a ride home from school in his maroon Cutlas when the car wouldn't start. He always said he had no understanding of auto mechanics, so I was surprised to see him leap right out of the car and pop the hood. After staring down at the engine, he hopped cheerily back in the car saying "Well, everything looks intact!" I have no idea who rescued us that day, but every time I think back on that incident it makes me laugh. I'm glad he went on to use his warmth and humor in a career where he was so well respected. So sorry Joe, Annette and family. I feel privileged to have known him.
