Mary Ann M. Horanzy

1942 - 2016

Mary Ann M. Horanzy, 73, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Born March 7, 1942 in Springfield (MA), she was the beloved daughter of the late Stanley and Julia (Skowronski) Horanzy. A life-long resident of Suffield, Mary Ann attended Suffield schools and was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She worked for many years at Enfield ARC. Mary Ann loved family get-togethers, parties and special holiday events at Suffield House, working on arts and crafts projects at Suffield Emergency Aid, playing bingo, singing along to songs on the radio, and riding with her dad in his pick-up with their dog, Shaggy. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly. Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Florence Noble and her husband, Norman; nephew, Norman Noble, his wife Cathy and their son, Sean; and niece, Nancy Noble, all of West Suffield. She also leaves cousins, caregivers and staff at Suffield House. She was predeceased by her beloved sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Jim Baker. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Suffield House who gave Mary Ann excellent, gentle and compassionate care for over 20 years. Family and friends may gather Tuesday, March 8, at 8:30 am at Nicholson & Carmon Funeral Home, 443 East St. N. (Rte. 159), Suffield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 AM at St. Joseph Church, Suffield. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield.
