Leonard PATNODE Obituary

PATNODE, Leonard H. Leonard H. "Lenny" Patnode, 67, beloved husband of Teresa (West) Patnode of East Hartford, died Monday (January 24, 2011) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hartford on June 19, 1943, he had lived in East Hartford for most of his life. Lenny was a member of the U.S. Air Force and before retiring he was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford for almost 40 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, leathering, making jewelry, camping and country music. Many years ago he was an altar boy for St. Patrick Church, Hartford. In addition to his wife, Teresa he leaves his mother, Marie (Engel) Patnode Hughes of Rockville; two sons, George Patnode and Leonard H. Patnode, Jr. He was predeceased by his father, Leo Hughes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday Feb. 7, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernard Church, 25 Bernard Terrace, in the center of Rockville. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241. Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, South Windsor has care of arrangements.
