Marie Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, Marie (Perrotti) Marie (Perrotti) Anderson, of Avon, died peacefully at the Avon Health Care Center on Monday, (December 24, 2007) after a long illness. She was born January 24, 1932, daughter of James and Josephine Perrotti. She resided most of her life in Avon and was a communicant and a lector at the Church of St. Ann. She was the valedictorian of the class of 1949 Farmington High School and a member of the National Honor Society. She retired after 17 years as a secretary in the personnel department of the Hartford Electric Light Company. Following her retirement she worked on special projects for the M. H. Rhodes Co. in Avon and was the accountant for Anderson Irrigation, a family built business. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard B. Anderson and two sons, Eric Anderson of Avon, and David Anderson, also of Avon and his fiancée Kathleen Halse. She also leaves a sister, Dolores Chauvy of Plainville, and a brother James Perrotti of Unionville, two sisters-in-law, Ethel Cross of Muncie, Indiana and Edith Peterson of East Hampton. She was predeceased by her sister, Gloria Perrotti. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. She will especially be missed by her grand nieces and nephews to whom she was so special. The family would like to thank the numerous friends and neighbors for their kindnesses and support during Marie's illness. A special acknowledgement to the staff at the Avon Health Care Center for the professional care and compassion shown Marie during her stay there. Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 5-8 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, Dec. 28 at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Ann, Avon, all are asked to go directly to church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of St. Ann, Arch Road, Avon, CT 06001.

Mr. Anderson, Eric and Dave-
I have just learned about your mom's death, I am so very sorry! I'm glad that my mom and I had a chance to see her when we did, she was a very special person! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I know she has a "special" friend up there.....laughing about old times when we were kids and swimming in the pool on meadowbrook....David!! Her suffering is OVER! Happened to come across your Mom's Obituary just this morning. I will always remember her for her warm smile and kindness while we were growing up. Hope you and your family are healing and are at peace knowing your Mom is no longer suffering. She is definately an angel on your shoulder. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dick, Marie was someone "SPECIAL" I grew up with her and we went all through school together. I have many memories of those times we walked to Farmington High School. I am sorry that she is gone and I wish that I could be up there in person to share your grief. She will be missed by many.
