Joseph John "JJ" Jasienski

JASIENSKI, Joseph John "JJ" Joseph John "JJ" Jasienski, 87, of East Granby, beloved husband for 52 years to Janice (Nawrocik) Jasienski passed away peacefully on Sunday (January 13, 2008). Born in Trenton, NJ on December 5, 1920, son of the late Valentine and Helen (Salagaj) Jasienski, he lived in Enfield moving to East Granby 43 years ago. JJ was employed at Kaman Aircraft and Hamilton Standard before retiring in 1985 after 25 years with Delta Industries of East Granby. He was a member of Lodge 1525-Loyal Order of Moose in Thompsonville, a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a communicant of St. Bernard Church. He loved music and played the accordion most of his life, was an avid wood worker and a ham radio operator with call letters "KA1CEF". Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Greg Jasienski and his wife Lynn of Springfield, MA; three daughters, Kathy and her husband Dave Lloyd, Michele and her husband Brad Berube both of Somers, and a daughter Valerie Jasienski of Bloomfield. He also leaves three grandchildren, Jessica Lloyd, Sydney and Anthony Joseph Jasienski. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister. The funeral will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at 10:30a.m. from the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby, followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11a.m. at St. Bernard Church in Tariffville. Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery. His family will receive friends prior to the mass at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30-10:30a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Bernard Church, 7 Maple Street, Tariffville, CT 06081.
