MADONNA, David Brian
David Brian Madonna, 47, beloved husband of Carissa (Johnson) Madonna, of Kensington, passed away on Sunday (April 22, 2012). A loving son, husband, brother, father, and grandfather, he will also be greatly missed by his mother, Marguerite, and was the son of the late Andrew Madonna. He is also survived by his daughter, Jessica; granddaughter, Madison; sisters Catherine, Diane, Jo-Ann; brother Eric; and extended family.
Visitation hours will begin Thursday, April 26, 2012 from 9-11a.m. at the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:30 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, with burial following in the South Burying Ground, all in Kensington. Dave was a genuine person with a big heart. He also was a solid guy from the columbus park , Club Neptune days, those are hard to find qualities these days.Im blessed i got to know him. My deepest sympathy to the entire Madonna Family. I grew up in Fall RIver with Eric & David and was very sadden by his passing. I talked to him on the phone recently and it was so nice to hear he was enjoying life. RIP David!

We will all miss Dave. He had a way of lighening things up. When we were rebuilding Hanover Pond Dam, there was a very bad stom with heavy rain. Dave was staying at the dam all night. The cofferdam had failed and the police and City Engineer were at the site. Dave was telling a story about going to check on the dam during a previous storm in his pajamas; you were with him. He was parked at a nearby park to check the lake level when a cop pulled up and wanted to know what he was doing. About that time in the story, the trailer door opened and in came the same cop. He just said "Oh no, not you again."
At least it was funny at the time.

I will always remember Dave as "The God Father". Dave enjoyed his "Italian tough guy" image growing up. Those who new him though, always could sense that he had a big heart. We used to meet Dave for rides to high school at BMC Durfee in Fall River, Ma. Dave used to get a kick out of asking the gas station attendant "Remy" to pump "a buck unleaded" into his old "Volare" sedan. I knew Dave since our grammar school days at "Susan H. Wixon" school and we remained friends through high school. I was happy to see that Dave married and had a family, although his life has ended far too early. He will be missed. My condolences go out to Dave's family and friends. R.I.P. Dave!

To Eric & the entire Madonna family especially his wife Carissa, whom I've only met a few times my deepest sympathy. I had the privilege of growing up with Dave & knowing him for 30+ yrs. He always had a smile or was quick with something to say. I will always remember the time when we were kids & he tied a rope to the top of the basketball pole & convinced me to try & use an old set of bicycle handlebars as a zip line. Let's just say it didnt turn out so well.
I will surely miss Dave.

I met David back in 1997, my first year at BCC, when we were in the Student Senate together. A few of us would hang out at his house on the weekends. We had a lot of laughs. He had a talent for sharing some great stories! My heart sank when I saw his obituary in the paper this morning. Even though we hadn't seen each other in about 14 years, I still thought about him, wondering what he was doing.
