Fleurette Courtois

COURTOIS, Fleurette Fleurette Courtois, 91, longtime resident of Farmington , passed away peacefully on Sunday (December 9, 2007), at Ridgeview Healthcare, Cromwell. Fleurette was born in Plessisville, Quebec, Canada on June 11, 1916, the daughter of the late Joseph and Any (LaChance) Dubois. She wed the love of her life, her late husband, Marcel Joseph Courtois on June 28, 1947. Together they settled in Farmington and raised a family. She was employed for many years as a skilled seamstress which was her passion. Her greatest joys were cooking for and spending time with her family and friends. She leaves to mourn her passing, her beloved son Donald Courtois and his wife Carol, of Cromwell: and her two cherished granddaughters Jessica and Caitlin Courtois whom she adored. She also leaves her dear sister Armande Pellerin and her husband, Armand, of Canada as well as several nieces and nephews who were very special to her. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her two brothers and six sisters. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gladys Mendelowska for the loving care and kindness she gave Fleurette over the last year as well as the staff at Ridgeview Healthcare. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 15, from the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain , followed by an 11:30 a.m. Funeral liturgy at St. Patricks Church in Farmington . Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery , Farmington. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday morning from 9 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
