Ralph Knaple Obituary

Ralph A. Knaple, 80, of Avon, formerly of Farmington and Canton, died on Saturday, (April 12, 2003) at McLean Home in Simsbury. He was born June 7, 1922 in Southington, son of the late Adolph and Irene (Zantow) Knaple. He retired from Charles W. House and Sons in Unionville and later was employed at the Epicure market in Farmington. He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Knaple of West Hartford; a brother, Kenneth Knaple of Avon; and several nieces, grandnieces and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Eunice Knaple. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 15, 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 224 Lovely St., Avon with the Pastor William Carter, officiating. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Collinsville. There are no calling hours. Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Tnpk., Canton has charge of the arrangements. The Knaple family expresses their sincere appreciation to the staff of McLean Health Center, Hospice Unit, for their care and kindness shown to Ralph. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 224 Lovely St., Avon, CT 06001.
