Alice BARBER Obituary
Alice Hennessey Barber passed away November 26, 2013, in Houston, Texas after a short illness. She was born December 14, 1923 in New Britain, CT to Lawrence and Ada (Ward) Hennessey. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Barber. Alice and Fred raised their family in Berlin, CT and moved to Houston in their retirement to be near their daughter and her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed being part of The Terraces Independent Living Senior Citizen Community at Champions for the past eight years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Jackie Barber, of Jupiter, Florida, her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Eric Schofield of Spring, TX, her much loved grandchildren Lindsey Schofield, Daniel Barber, Kyle Schofield and Ryan Schofield, and dear and loyal friend, Billy Smith of Houston. Klein Funeral Home, Champion Forest Drive, Spring, Texas is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be private at Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
