Amy Bochman Obituary
Amy Sue (Fiondella) Bochman, 33, of Broad Brook, passed away Saturday (December 7, 2013) surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Born October 29, 1980 in Rockville, she was a daughter of Daniel Fiondella of Enfield and Kathy (Thibodeau) Melton (and stepfather Roy Melton), both of Willington. Amy worked as a Licensed Optician for Sam's Club in Manchester. She was affectionately known as a Charter Member of the "Shop 'til You Drop" Club by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, she leaves her son, Ethan Scott Bochman; siblings, Kristie Clark of Coventry, Adrian Fiondella of Chicopee, MA and Peter Fiondella and Megan Cague, both of Willington; her grandfather, Adrian Thibodeau of Jackman, ME; and numerous extended family members and friends. The family will receive guests starting at 9:30 AM Tuesday before an 11 AM Chapel Service at the Aurora-McCarthy Funeral Home, 167 Old Hartford Road, Colchester. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery, Colchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. I knew Amy for a short time, but in the time I got to know her It was refreshing to meet such a sweet and positive young woman, who cherished her little boy, spoke so much of him and he was her world, and when I found out she had cancer, I was crushed. She stayed positive, and although I knew and she knew the truth she had to keep the faith, for her boy she would say....... I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful human being, and you dont find to many people like her in this world. She will be missed, and I pray that her son will know how much her mommy loved him and that her memory will stay in his and all of your hearts. May she rest in peace. I am sorry for your loss. Kathy, Roy, Adrian, Kristie, Peter, Megan and Daniel and all of the rest of family and friends who loved Amy...I am so sorry for the loss of Amy. Amy has been my best friend since 1995...she was a bridesmaid in my wedding and I have so so many fond memories of her and a picture album full of proof. She will be deeply missed. Amy was one of a kind and a great friend. In the words of Luke Bryan "So long my friend, until we meet again".

We send our deepest and sincere sympathy to your entire family on the loss of Amy -- your daughter, sister, cousin, friend. Amy will always have a special place in our hearts. She was our daughter Sarah's best friend since high school in 1999. Our most memorable time with Amy was when she went to Florida with us in their senior year of high school. Sarah had ankle surgery and had a cast but it didn't stop them from having a great time and finding all the boys that were vacationing at that time. She was so full of life and love. We, too, will miss her immensely. We hope you will find solace in knowing Amy was loved by so many.

Everyone who knew Amy knew she was a beautiful person not only on the outside but more importantly on the inside with a smile to light a room. She fought so long and so hard and left us so young.
