Anne CARTELLI Obituary
CARTELLI, Anne L.
Anne L. (McCormack) Cartelli, of Cromwell, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, May 31 at Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit after a long illness. Born in Middletown on November 18, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Slater) McCormack. She is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Cartelli) Grady and her husband, William of Middletown; a son, Anthony Cartelli and his wife, Coleen of Barkhamsted; and her three precious grandchildren, Carolyn (Cartelli) Zybura of New Jersey, Christopher Cartelli, currently serving in the Peace Corps in Ethiopia, and Kate Grady of Glastonbury. She also leaves behind her long time loving friends Helen (Aubin) Ackert, Ron Poprawa and Robert. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas McCormack and her sisters, Evelyn Watanabe and Ethel Shimoda. Anne loved her music, the beach, UCONN women's basketball, and spending time with her friends and her family.
Family and friends may call on Monday, June 3rd from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. A private burial ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit, 28 Crescent Street, Middletown, CT 06457. Messages of condolences may be sent to the family at www.doolittlefuneralservice.com.

I worked with Anne a trillion years ago in Dr. Shapiro's office and have nothing but fond memories of her. She was a delight to work with. I am so sad to hear of her passing. My heartfelt condolences to Kathy, Tony and all of her family and friends. I know she will be greatly missed.

Anne always had a smile for everyone and could be counted on for a good laugh when you needed one. She was the very best neighbor and friend anyone could ask for!

Anne always referred to herself as being my BFF. She certainly was and always will be. I'll miss her and all the fun times we had very much.

I had the greatest pleasure of knowing Anne, meeting her when she was working with Dr. Mason on Main Street in Rocky Hill.
We shared some very funny, not to mention great times all together.
She was a joy and an inspiration.
