Arline Brewer Obituary
Arline Elizabeth Brewer, 95, of Bloomfield and formerly of Granby, passed away peacefully on Friday, (January 17, 2014) in Bloomfield. Born in Windsor on October 3, 1918, daughter of the late Edwin C. and Ida (Lyons) Brewer, she was raised in Windsor and had lived in New Britain and Pasadena, CA before moving to Granby in 1984 and then to Bloomfield over 10 years ago. Arline worked in the accounting department at Allstate Insurance Company in Farmington and in California for over 27 years before her retirement in 1984. She was a lifelong member of First Church in Windsor, Congregational. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Edwin C. Brewer, Jr. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 5-7 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 11 a.m., at the First Church in Windsor, Congregational, 107 Palisado Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Windsor.
