Barbara A. Case

1935 - 2013

Barbara A. Case, 78, of Canton Center, beloved wife of Lewis R. Case, died Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Apple Rehab in Avon. She was born November 24, 1935 in Winsted, daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Weigold) Hoffmann and had lived in New Hartford prior to moving to Canton Center 55 years ago. Mrs. Case and her husband owned and operated Case's Lawn Service in Canton Center, where she served as a Secretary and Treasurer. She was a member of several Carnival Glass Clubs and enjoyed cooking, gardening, puzzles and collecting stamps. Besides her loving husband, with whom she would have celebrated their 57th anniversary today, she is survived by her three sons, Richard Case and his wife Bonnie of Canton Center, Robert Case and his wife Sharon of Canton Center and Thomas Case and his wife Kelly of West Hartford; five grandchildren, Richard Case, Jr. and his wife Kathryn of Canton, Ashleigh Case and her fiancé Steve Briggs of Granby, Amber Case of Canton Center, and Philip and Spencer Goulet of West Hartford; her great grandson, Tyler Case of Canton; her sister, Betty Magyar of Harwinton; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Roberta Case of Scottsdale, AZ and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sally Seaver. There are no calling hours and services are private. Memorial donations in Barbara's name may be made to the Canton Food Bank, P.O.
