LEE, Barbara Mehls
Barbara Mehls Lee, 84 of Vero Beach, FL, died on February 19, 2013. Barbara was born in New Haven on Dec. 15, 1928 and was a longtime resident of Cheshire. After graduating from Connecticut College in New London, she worked as an interior designer for over 50 years. Barbara enjoyed volunteering for Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, and also for the American Cancer Society. She is survived by her three children, Robert and Richard Lee and Katherine Collins; as well as her grandchildren, Alexandra, Josie, and Charlotte Lee, Calee and Teagan Lee, and Meagan, Brendan, and Aidan Collins. Barbara was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Hannah Miller Lee of Madison; and also by her husband of over 50 years, Robert T. Lee of New Britain.
A private celebration of her life will be held. Donations may be made in memory of Hannah Lee to Foote School 50 Loomis Place, New Haven, CT 06511.
