PRANGE, Barbara (Anderson)

Barbara (Anderson) Prange, 81, of Newington passed away on Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Prange, Sr. She was born in Farmington, daughter of the late Albert and Agnes (Jacques) Anderson. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Newington. Barbara was an avid reader, loved crossword puzzles and enjoyed time spent on her computer. She is survived by her loving children Richard Prange (Patricia) of Lovell, ME, Michael Prange (Mary Ann) of Newington, James Prange (Lynne) of Empire, MI, Judy Kolenda (Stephen) of Middletown, Thomas Prange (Gina) of Newington, John Prange (Mary Lou) of Ellington and Linda Banfield (Brian) of Wethersfield; her grandchildren Richard Prange, Jr., Jeffery Prange, Jennifer Stowe, Nicole Vladyka, Justin Prange, Lindsay Prange, Alan Banfield, Sara Banfield, Michael Kolenda and Stephanie Kolenda; great grandchildren Anthony Vladyka, Jeffery Prange, Victoria Kolenda and Nate Stowe. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law David and Billie Anderson of Plainville and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her sisters Peggy Hein, Rosemary Borowski and Kathy Fraioli.
Barbara's funeral service will begin on Wednesday, June 5th, 9 a.m. from the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 183 Church St., Newington. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Assoc., P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 of a charity of the donor's choice.
