Barbara Vasnus Obituary
Barbara Ann (Crockett) Vasnus, 80, of Elizabeth City, NC, formerly of West Hartford, beloved wife of the late Robert C. Vasnus, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2013. Born in Hartford, she had lived over 50 years in West Hartford and was employed at the Stonington Bus Co., West Hartford for many years. Barbara is survived by two sons, John Vasnus of Indiana and Thomas Vasnus and his wife Jenny of Elizabeth City, NC; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and George Irving of Bristol; three grandchildren, Hanna Vasnus, Nicholas and Mitchell Irving; two brothers, Roger and Melvin Crockett both of Florida. She was predeceased by a son Donald N. Vasnus. The funeral and burial were private. The Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave.,West Hartford has care of the arrangements.

I was sorry to hear that Barbara Vasnus had passed away. The Vasnus family lived directly behind us in West Hartford. So many of our neighbors have passed on that it saddens my heart to let them go but they will all have a special place in my heart. My deepest sympathy to the Vasnus family in the loss of their mom. She will never be forgotten.
