McFARLAND, Bertha Marie (Baker)
Bertha Marie (Baker) McFarland, 68, of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Gerald L. McFarland, died peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford. She was born on September 21, 1944, in Talladega, AL, daughter of the late Joseph and Tobitha Baker. A resident of Windsor since 1986, Bertha was a member of the Victory Cathedral, in Hartford. She worked for Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford as an Engine Tester for many years before her retirement. Bertha was a devoted mother, friend and confidant to many who will be greatly missed by all. She leaves her son, Jimmy Pearson of Windsor and many friends.
Her family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2013, from 9-10 a.m., at The Victory Cathedral, 185 Bellevue St., Hartford; followed by a Funeral Service to begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Windsor Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
