Burton Daniels Obituary
Burton Daniels, 79, of Middletown, died Friday November 29, 2013 at his home. He was born in Middletown, son of the late Archer H. Daniels Sr. and Fannie (Bennett) Daniels. Burton was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Standard Knapp as a machinist. He was a member of the Moose Club, the Eagles Club and the Voewartz Dutch club in Middletown. Burton is survived by his children, Doreen Mayhew and her husband Frank of Middletown, Ellen Randall and her husband Larry of Middletown, James Daniels and Scott Daniels both of Portland; nine grandchildren, Ryan Mayhew, Cailyn Mayhew, Brendon Mayhew and his wife Savannah, Denelle Clark Richie Randall, John Daniels, Ariel Faracci-Daniels, Cassie Hines and Cha-rae Daniels; four great-grandchildren, Madisyn Clark, Jayden Clark, Kaylee Mayhew and William Mayhew; also his former spouse, Monica Daniels of Middletown. He was predeceased by his siblings, Allen, Shirley, June, Arline, Buddy, Gus, Joyce and Richard. A funeral service will be he will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Friends may call prior to the service from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Pine Grove Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Saint Luke Elder Care, 760 Saybrook Rd.
