I will never forget Carl. He was always very friendly & easy to get along with. He was one of the best. He was my friend and co worker. My sincerest condolences to all his friends and family.

Dear Catherine,
I began working in the TRC lab in the late 70's and would go in the field with the stack group now and then. They were a hard-working, fun group and Carl was such a great guy. What I remember the most is how much he missed you. “This is the longest I have been away from my wife since we were married,” he told me when we were at Goodyear. When we returned to Bradley, you were waiting at the gate and I saw tears in your eyes as the two of you embraced. It touched my heart to see such a loving couple.
“Love bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.” 1 Corinthians, 7-8
With my deepest sympathy,
Marge Fox Flanagan

Dearest Catherine, I've just read the news of Carl's passing. I am shocked and saddened. I liked him the first time I met him, because of the birds we mutually loved! I admired what I knew of him, his dedication to his craft. I am thinking of you and praying for you and your sons and grandchildren. May God bless you all.
Love, Candace Wilson

Time passages...Carl was a good man in the field as well as someone who did much good in his time. Carl's soul is free of a body that no longer served, he will be soaring with wings of his own now.

Catherine . . . . So sorry! I last saw you and Carl as you walked the beach at Milford Point. It was then that Carl informed me of his debilitating illness and I said I would pray for him. He will be missed.

A great outdoors man who always enjoyed "the view". A classic smile and mustache. I will now cherish many stack adventures spent with Carl.

My dear friend Carl, I shall miss your visits. You and Catherine have been birding buddies for over 20 years going on the annual trips to Cape Ann and Cape Cod. Always up for new areas to explore, you will be sorely missed.
I'm going to see if I can find a Snowy Owl for you.
