Carole VIEIRA Obituary
Carole Vieira (Hibbard), 69, of Southington passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, (November 19, 2013). Carole was born on March 24, 1944 in New Britain, CT to the late Roger and Madelyn (McIntyre) Hibbard. She grew up in New Britain, married Richard Vieira, and later settled in Southington to raise their family. She attended Goodwin Technical School and was employed by T.J. Maxx in Southington, retiring in 2010. Carole is survived by her four daughters, Donna Vieira of Hull, MA, Laurie Nickolas and her husband David of South Windsor, CT, Diane Arduini of Plainville, CT and Nicole Biernat and her husband Christopher of Meriden, CT, as well as 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family will be receiving friends and family on SUNDAY, December 8, 2013 from 2-5 p.m. at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, New Britain. I don't really know where to begin to convey my sadness and condolences. I am so incredibly grateful to have known your Mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. What a fantastic, warm, funny and irreverant lady she was. I always felt like part of the family when she was around and loved chatting about family and politics and everything else. She will be incredibly missed!

I am so very sad to hear of the passing of my beautiful friend Carole..Oh my we had great times together as youngsters.And .. Oh yes we did get into a little trouble..but we had fun.. I always thought it was normal to sleep in a recliner...wait it's not? We (my siblings and I) would sleep on the green shag carpet in the living room sometimes when we came to visit, where Grama's chair was. She'd be up late watching Tales from the Crypt. Let's just say I wasn't really sleeping with the Crypt Keeper so close.
She had square chocolate mints in her purse that she would share with us upon request.
We went to the Wrentham Outlets a few years ago. She didn't want to walk around with us because she didn't want to use her walker...so she stayed in the car the whole time! She joked about us leaving the windows cracked for her and talking to passers by about her terrible kids who had left her in the car while we shopped. Ah, but that was Grama.
