Catherine Zachary Obituary
Catherine (Jones) Zachary, 94, formerly of Silver St., Middletown, wife of the late Frank D. Zachary, died Thursday, (January 23, 2014) at Abernethy Laurels Assisted Living Facility, Newton, NC. She was born in Middletown, the daughter of the late James J. and Susan (Herdman) Jones. Prior to her retirement, Catherine was office manager in the orthodontic practice of Dr. Harold Richman. She also worked at Wilcox-Crittenden of Middletown, and for many years was a proud volunteer at Middlesex Memorial Hospital. Catherine was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a life-long member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Catherine is survived by her children, David Zachary and his wife Vicki of Hickory, NC and Philip Zachary and his wife Dawn of Raleigh, NC; and four grandchildren, Adam, Randi, Blaire and Cathryn. She was predeceased by sisters, Susan Schafer, Mary Schafer and Frances Ahlquist and a brother, James Jones.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 9:15 a.m. from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Liturgy in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Middletown. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown. Our sincere condolences to you and your family. We all have very special memories of our families together. Your mom was a special lady with great qualities that we will all remember. It was always so nice to hear from my mom that Kay had called and that they spoke on the phone for an hour. What a friendship!

Our deepest sympathy on the loss of your Mom. She was a special lady & wonderful neighbor. Our families always remained close throughout the years and our Moms always remained friends till the end.
