Chace Hernandez Obituary
Chace Carmelo Hernandez, 27 of Hartford passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was born in Hartford on January 16, 1990 to Carmelo Hernandez and Darlene (Robertson) Childs. Besides his parents he leaves to cherish his memories his Step Up Dad Michael Childs; Sons, Chace Carmelo Hernandez Jr., Casein Raymond Hernandez; Brothers, Steven Astwood, Joshua Hernandez, Derrick Molden; Sisters, Keisha Hernandez, Tasha Hernandez, Brandi Williams, Braye Childs; Grandmothers, Helen Nixon, Hilda Hernandez; Fiancée, Ashley Walker. He was predeceased by his Grandfather George H. Robertson. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, February 24, 2017 with calling hours from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by a Homegoing Service at 12 PM, at the Faith Seventh Day Adventist Church, 500 Woodland Street, Hartford. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Memorial donations may be made to the Chace Hernandez Childrens Education Fund C/O Windsor Federal Savings, Attn: Customer Svc Dept. 250 Broad Street, Windsor, CT 06095. Hey Baby,
Another year approaches and, it still feels so surreal!! We are going into 2019 and, I'm still fighting back tears. I know Our Creator loaned you to us for a short time but, I just wish I knew it was for only 27yrs. He gives the BEST GIFTS.
I would be selfish to want you back in this crazy world. I've come to realize, your not gone for good, your resting in peace. Memories of you remains with your loved ones, everyday!! We just miss you so much!! You left the same way you came, unexpectantly and quietly!! The shock of you leaving without notice is still devastating.
Did you call out my name for help? You know, I was always on the first thing smoking when you or your brother called on me. I would have been there in a flash, holding everybody accountable!! That's what a mother does!!
You were on your way to a Mans life. You passed the Fire Exam, you were a great father to your two sons, as well as, Troy and Tiana. You never treated them any differently! You embraced and captivated everybody with your charm, politeness, your keen intelligence, willingness to help everybody, your Spirit was magnetic, so much more to you , I can't name them all.
Just know, you were special to so many people. We talk about you daily. We leave an empty chair for you at all of our functions because, if you were here physically, you would be present!!
2019, another year without you. 2017 stole our Babyboy The streets of Hartford ate up so many since, you left. I pray you all are well in the invisible world. Please remember your upbringing and behave. I will be there when the Lord calls. But, you are with your Granddad George, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and so many other relatives!!!

Dear Darlene, and Micheal there is not a day goes by when i dont think about Chace, I use to see him almost every week eating breakfast at the restaurant in the Windsor shopping center, and i would tease him. about the ladies checking him out What a fine young man, I know he is resting in peace, and the arms of the lord.

Babyboy Chace, it took me almost six months to write on this wall. Everyday is hard not having you in our lives. You were the best Baby boy,Son,Brother,Father,
Uncle,Cousin and Friend any one of us could ever have!! You are missed terribly by everyone who knew you. I'm still being approached by your friends who truly loved you. Tears are still falling from the eyes of your closest friends. They are like your real brothers and sisters. So many people are at a loss for words but, would prefer for you to be here with us! We know it was not your choice to leave but, I just pray that you are at peace. I/we LOVE us some You forever and ever. This time away from you is so hard but,I know you are resting in Gods arms. PLEASE GOD, I need to see my BABY or hear his voice. I call for Chace everyday in my heart and mind. I pray to you GOD because, you are the only one who truly knows my suffering. Chace was stolen from me/us. I want him back but, not in this cold world. This world is not how you intended it to be. People have grown cold and heartless. I don't want Chace good Spirit in this cold world. I've raised this child with your help,LORD! It seems so unfair for these demonic spirits to prevail. But God, You are still on the Throne!! Chace happened to be one of my very best friends after meeting him 6yrs ago at the security gate!! He was a special young man with a heart of gold! He loved his boy's like no other! He always wanted 2 know what Baltimore was like my husband and I never got the chance to take him back home with us 2 show him!! I didn't know Chace well, however, I remember when he was kind enough to drive me to the airport last November because he didn't want his grandmother driving. We joked about how his grandma's driving skills were getting bad. He was a wonderful, kind young man with an effervescent personality and a great sense of humor. To the family, my heart hurts for your loss and you are in my prayers. He was truly a fine young man and a good father. Though I am not able to be there in body as you say goodbye, I'll join you in spirit. May God comfort you in the days, weeks, months, and years to come.
