Charles KNOWLTON Obituary
KNOWLTON, Charles E., Sr.
Charles E. Knowlton Sr., 84, husband of the late Olga, died June 17, 2013 at Crestfield Rehabilitation in Manchester. He was born in Danforth, ME, April 7, 1928, the son of William and Elizabeth (Beale) Knowlton. Charles graduated from Morse High School in Bath, ME, and received his BS and MBA from the University of Hartford. He served in the US Army Air Force in Germany. He and Olga lived for 48 years in West Hartford. Charles retired in 1990 from AETNA Life & Casualty after 28 years of service, he was part of the Adjunct Faculty at the University of Hartford for 15 years. He was also a CPA, a member of the AICPA and the Connecticut Society of CPA's and member of The Hartford Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. Charles was a member, Moderator, and Treasurer of the Boulevard Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, Charles and his wife Olga of South Windsor, and Larry of Hawaii; a sister Helen Graham of Kensington; two grandchildren Kelly Trudelle and her husband Pete of NC, and Jeffrey Knowlton of Denver, CO; and a sister in law Gloria Knowlton of Standish, ME. In addition to his wife he was predeceased by a brother, Phillip Knowlton, and brother in law Robert Graham.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington Ave. West Hartford. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Online expressions of sympathy may be made at www. molloyfuneralhome.com.

To the Knowlton family,
Charlie was very instrumental in my professional life. I started working for him at Aetna in 1972 and Charlie gave me the opportunity to grow and develop my skills in ways that I didn't know were possible. I will always be grateful to having the opportunity to know and work with him.
