Charles Merrick Obituary
Charles Martin Merrick, Jr. "Marty", 55, of East Hartford, passed away on February 3, 2013 while vacationing in the Philippines. He was born March 23, 1957 and was the son of Charles Merrick and Carol (Arnold) Merrick of East Hartford. Marty is survived by his two children, Mariah Merrick and her fiancé Branden Bright and his son, Christian Russo of Bolingbrook, IL. He also leaves his brother Robert Merrick and his wife Barbara Merrick and their children Michaela and Robert of Granby, CT. Marty was a graduate of George J. Penney High and Boston College. He had a strong sense of adventure and loved to travel and had been working overseas the past several years as an English Instructor for the South Korean Government, the Saudi Royal Navy and most recently China. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Peace, 370 May Rd., East Hartford, CT.
