LINDQUIST, Cheryl
Cheryl (Lipski) Lindquist, 67, of Bristol beloved wife of Bruce Lindquist, passed away on Thursday, (August 8, 2013) at her home with her family by her side. Cheryl and Bruce would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year in November. Cheryl was born in Paris Island, SC on Sept. 28, 1945 and was a daughter of Ruth (Nelson) Lipski and the late Henry Lipski. She was a lifelong Bristol resident and was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Bristol. Cheryl enjoyed motorcycling with her husband all over the Eastern United States, especially to York Beach, Maine and Lake George, NY. She enjoyed all kinds of music and when traveling, would enjoy going to pipe organ concerts on the finest organs in the United States. She adored her children and her granddaughters and her great granddaughter and the many children she cared for as a daycare provider for over 40 years. She was a member of the Class Reunion Committee for Bristol Eastern graduating class of 1963 and a member of the Connecticut Red Hat Society and the Connecticut Valley Theater Organ Society. Besides her husband and mother, Cheryl is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Lisa and Robert De Los Santos, of FT. Worth, TX and Karyn and Mark Womack, of Newington; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Lee and Anita Lipski, of Bristol, Roger and Karen Lipski, of Plainville and Craig and Terri Lipski, of Terryville; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Donna and Tom Dillon of Windsor and Lori and Larry Hutnick, of Rocky Hill; two grandchildren; Tiffany Desmarais and her husband Pete, of Bristol and Bailey Womack, of Newington; her great granddaughter; Aela Ruth Desmarais and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 355 Camp St., Bristol. Burial will follow in Forestville Cemetery, Forestville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday between 2-6 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 355 Camp St. Bristol, CT 06010 or to the Bristol Hospital Hospice, P.O Box 977 Bristol, CT 06011-0977.
